We are not worthy to have such a great classic still with us.

L. Rodi is a masterpiece of old vitrolite, uniform tiles and art deco mirrors and ancient features.

Outside sports a lovely shop front with a late edition of a greasy spoon pepsi sign.

From a distance you can see the brilliant 'Cafe Rodi' bold letterface of the top floor of the cafe.

Image

A step inside sees the first of 3 rooms.

The front room with counter, panels, vitrolite, old clock, hot water urn and cool menu and great 'hang out the washing - like' specials hanging from the ceiling.

Image

And when a cacophony of hissing steam fills the air, this extractor sucks its out into the street.

Menus and specials suggestions hang from the ceiling

The main feature of the front room is this wonderful art deco wall clock.

Then from the front room, you walk down a converted side passage with plastic roof towards the back.

Lined with great tiles and italian travel posters, as well as the wonderful coat hooks on the wall.

The floor then changes as you walk through into the main dining area.

And wow, what a dining area.

A very old menu. Love it!

With all the classic architecture and glorious features and fittings aside.

The food is also excellent - very tasty indeed.
